Pop-Up and Delivery Expand Summer Convenience
Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace is extending its Fire Island footprint this summer with both a physical pop-up location and an e-commerce delivery service designed for the seasonal community.
The Ocean Beach pop-up, located inside Ocean Beach Trading, will stock prepared foods, specialty items, and curated groceries for the warm-weather crowd. Concurrently, the chain is launching next-day ferry delivery through uncleg.com, offering customers the same pricing as in-store purchases.
"We were incredibly grateful for the way the Fire Island community welcomed us last summer," said Carl DelPrete, CEO of Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace. "Our guests told us they loved having Uncle G's right there in Ocean Beach, and we're excited to return for another season. Whether they're shopping in person at the pop-up, ordering groceries online for ferry delivery, or planning catering for a summer gathering, we're proud to bring the Uncle G's experience back to Fire Island."
Ferry Delivery Targets Weekend Logistics
The online ordering system targets a specific pain point for second-home owners and renters: restocking a beach house without leaving the island. Customers can order groceries before arrival or request next-day delivery to avoid multiple trips to the mainland.
Uncle Giuseppe's also offers catering via the ferry service, positioning the offering as a solution for hosts planning gatherings throughout the season.
Expansion Continues Beyond Fire Island
The Fire Island initiative reflects broader growth for the 12-location chain. Uncle Giuseppe's is slated to open locations in Greenvale (August 2026) and Levittown (late Q4 2026), following the May 2026 debut of its Sayville Plaza location in Bohemia.
Evan Brett, Owner of Ocean Beach Trading, noted the operational synergy: "Having Uncle Giuseppe's in Ocean Beach last summer was a great addition for our customers and the community. The quality, freshness, and convenience were exactly what people were looking for, and we're excited to welcome them back for another season."
Why It Matters
For operators, Uncle Giuseppe's ferry delivery model offers a blueprint for reaching seasonal markets without establishing permanent infrastructure—a strategy worth monitoring as other specialty food retailers target underserved vacation communities. The same-price guarantee across channels also signals a commitment to omnichannel equity, increasingly expected by affluent consumers.
