The Growth Numbers

DPC Dash Ltd, Domino's Pizza's exclusive master franchisee across mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau, reported first-half 2026 revenue of RMB3.13 billion — a 20.8% year-over-year increase — alongside net profit of RMB81.0 million, up 22.9%. The results are notable not just for their scale but for what they reveal about aggressive unit expansion as a primary growth lever in a price-compressed QSR environment.

The network added 235 net new stores and entered 15 new cities during the first six months of the year, bringing the total footprint to 1,550 stores across 75 cities. Of those, 532 are in Tier 1 markets and 1,018 operate in non-Tier 1 cities — a geographic split that signals deliberate secondary-market penetration rather than saturation of premium urban cores. New stores opened in 2026 new-city markets generated average daily sales of RMB28,230, with a weighted average expected payback period of approximately 14.8 months.

The ATP Problem

The headline growth masks a meaningful unit-economics headwind that operators in competitive delivery markets will recognize immediately. Average transaction price fell 9.6% to RMB72.9, dragged down by heavy consumer subsidies run through third-party aggregator platforms since mid-2025. Same-store sales growth came in at -4.8% for the period as a direct consequence, even as same-store transaction count grew 7.1% — meaning more customers ordered, but each ticket was smaller.

Store-level EBITDA margin compressed from 19.4% to 17.4%, and adjusted EBITDA margin narrowed from 12.4% to 11.2%. CFO Helen Wu noted that corporate-level cost efficiency continued to improve, with total corporate-level cost charges declining from 8.1% to 7.5% of revenue — a sign that the platform's operating leverage is intact even as the front-line economics absorb subsidy pressure. Delivery sales grew 44.7% to RMB1,618.8 million, suggesting the channel itself is healthy; the pricing environment is the variable in play.

What Operators Should Watch

Three developments beyond the financials carry intelligence value for foodservice operators and suppliers tracking QSR expansion models in Asia.

First, loyalty membership reached 41.9 million — up 39.2% year-over-year — with loyalty members contributing 60.1% of revenue. That first-party data asset is what insulates the brand from total dependence on third-party aggregator economics; operators without a comparable owned-channel strategy are more exposed to platform subsidy cycles than DPC Dash currently is. For brands evaluating loyalty program architecture and digital marketing strategy, this ratio is a meaningful benchmark.

Second, the company commissioned its fourth supply chain center in Wuhan in August 2026, with annual capacity to support over 200 stores, and has secured sites for two additional facilities in Chengdu and Nanjing targeted for the second half of 2027. Supply chain infrastructure investment at this pace is a prerequisite for the 350 net new store target the company has set for full-year 2026. For equipment vendors, packaging suppliers, and cold-chain logistics providers, the forward site pipeline is a procurement signal worth tracking. See our Marketplace coverage of foodservice supply chain vendors for context on how operators are structuring these relationships.

Third, mainland China now ranks as the second-largest international market in Domino's global system by store count, and DPC Dash holds all top 70 positions in Domino's global 30-day new-store sales ranking. At approximately 2.5 Domino's stores per million population across its current 75-city presence — versus an estimated 13.9 pizza stores per million nationally — the white-space argument for continued expansion remains numerically defensible.
